10x10 is Your current restriction to building size without permit. It should be at least 12x14. I'm sure you've all been to Costco and Canadian tire where they sell 12x14 patio covers. Time to get with the times and up the square footage and less waste of time for you.

Create an "Artisan Tour" for visitors to experience and take part in artisan workshops throughout the community. A brochure or possible cycling trail could link artisans in the community, such as potters, carvers, stained glass makers, herbalists, or jewelry makers, and at each location the artisan could explain their craft or expertise and allow for the visitor to try making a sample product of their own. This has been done in the south of England and has proven to be a fun and profitable tourist draw.

Improved medical clinic access would be a huge improvement. The current clinic in Blind Bay although beneficial is inadequate for the population size and age and run by volunteers. A doctor onsite along with the nurse would certainly improve the situation and is currently a show stopper for some families that want to relocate here.

If there are any areas in Blind Bay around the lake to improve public access this would be an advantage and encourage use of the lake.

For safety reasons a sidewalk along Golf Course Drive for so many neighbourhood and community walkers would be beneficial. If a sidewalk is not feasible, then white lined walk ways (something like a bike lane but for walkers) would help.

There is empty unused land around the Blind Bay community. More park area and kid friendly environments would encourage younger growth.

Pathway along squilax anglemont road all the way to st. Ives! We and lots of others walk/run everyday and have to stop every time there is a vehicle. No room for both of us in Many spots from anglemont marina to st Ives. We really need the pathway done in this area as there are so many residents that walk that path.

have a set speed limit for logging trucks as they speed up to Seymour arm on squilax anglemont road. They wake us up as they are flying so fast up to Seymour arm at 3-4 in the morning!!!

reverse the trailer restrictions in Anglemont. Everywhere else can put a trailer on their lot except anglemont which was created years ago by a small number of residents. I'm sure the other communities do not have issues. It is silly thay Anglemont is the only North Shuswap community that has this restriction!

Our community in the White Lake area has many core values that draw people from outside the area to visit here. Some of these are the trail systems, the current enviromental condition, fishing, lake craft recreation and the access to the crown lands that surround the lakes with the peaceful setting of the Provincial Park at the east end of the lake. (primary BC Parks strategy is to protect conservation values with recreation values as secondary). The Secwepemc values in this area are still not fully known and are currently coming under review in a couple of iniatives that address water quality concerns in this oligotrophic lake classification. Many values in the area concerning industrial extraction, visitor use infrastructure, residential development, community infrastructure, wildlife, a cummulative effects framework all need to be reviewed and assessed in a much needed Land Use Management Plan. The need for a Watershed Security Plan needs to be assessed as well. So any development opportunity needs to have these core values assessed before further development progresses to clarify the effects on these current core values that may be impacted by such. Effective economic development must have this in all of their planning principals. These landscape and water values are the very reason people decide to reside or visit here. We would like to see the Economic Development Board support the iniatives in joint stakeholder advocation for a Land Use Management Plan possibly in alignment with the Forest Landscape Plans for the Cinnemousin peninsula. It is absolutely essential that forestry planning incorporates these "non timber" values into their harvesting plans. Much more to discuss in a different venue than a survey. Patrick Frank

Okanagan College should have more tourism / cullinary programming at their campus in Salmon Arm. The Shuswap has so much opportunity for Farm to Table and the college could partner with local operators as well as growers/producers to have an integrated education experience. Make the Shuswap a cullinary destination

How can you build stronger ties with the First Nations in the area? How can this area become known for Indigenous culture beyond Quaaout Lodge - being on HWY1 between Calgary and Vancouver, there's a huge opportunity with international travellers to be a destination.

I believe we need to find some way of attracting a large employer to the area. Without a place to work year round, no one can move here and the area will never grow. We can't prosper on tourism alone. Businesses struggle to succeed in 3 months per year.

There is a big difference between area d and other areas.
I live in area c and would like to address just this section.
I believe that we need to embrace what the people are attending in this area.
you have huge turn outs to events put on by the arts council, the marinas, nsscr etc. we should be promoting the tourism industry and working towards using those funds to help support our community activities during off season. Year round programming and activities are needed

Sorrento park upgrade. Play space is a hazard. And doesn't support toddler development. skate park? I know these are pricey but I've seen kids skateboarding on the roofs of public buildings. They need a space to take risks that isn't a ROOF. E-Bike rentals and a dedicated bike path loop around (im thinking to/from places of work for young teens to get to work without paying $2L in fuel to get there).
co-op gardens?
youth clubs - pay per month drop off ?? Arts/entertainment and social stuff.
an obstacle course on the lake (pay pass?) a small bunny hill with a T-bar for winter that kids can use. (I'm thinking small like the cedar heights golf course). Maybe a x-country trail loop around. (Season passes).?? electric car charging station at the old burned down gas station off TCH/blind bay rd. To stop people passing through, with signage and information about the area.
A price regulated mobile home park with 1/4 acre lots (that large acreage in blind bay). Where young families can afford to purchase and have enough space for a yard. We need AFFORDABLE housing.
